PREPARING FOR YOUR TRIPGet ready for an unforgettable adventure! Before our departure, it is essential to make sure you have all the necessary items for the upcoming trip.

  • What to pack? The sailboat is a small space, with everything you need. It is not recommended to bring wheeled suitcases on board. Pack your luggage in carry-on bags or sports bags for better organization. We recommend packing: Swimsuits, beach towels, sunscreen, waterproof camera, waterproof protectors for electronic equipment, organic mosquito repellent, although there are no mosquitoes on most islands, light sandals, personal hygiene products, books, chargers, prescription medications and seasickness pills and most importantly your passport or ID card.

  • Dizziness on board: Hours before your departure, if you suffer from dizziness easily, we recommend taking a pill, one of the most common commercial brands such as Dramamine or Mareol.

  • Cash: There are no ATMs, banks or mini-markets nearby in San Blas. Be sure to exchange cash before you leave. Make any cancellation and purchase payments on the spot. Your rental may be cancelled if you do not pay upon arrival.

  • Mobile Internet Signal and Connection: In San Blas, the telephone companies that operate are Más Móvil and Tigo. Some boats provide Starlink connection, the use of which is at the discretion of each captain or owner.

  • Electricity: Sailboats generate energy through solar panels, wind turbines and generators. Taking care of energy inside a boat is very common. During a sunny day it is possible to make open use of energy, at nightfall, depending on each boat, the engine or generator can be turned on for a few minutes to ensure sufficient energy during the night. Make sure to take care of the use of energy on board.

  • Water: Each sailboat has a water generator or drinking water collection facility. In any case, the prudent use of fresh water on board is essential and part of the experience of life on board. Showers are usually one per day and you must make sure to remove salt water every time you enter the interior of the sailboat to avoid salification.

  • Onboard Government: Each sailboat has its captain who has the right to use and make decisions in order to guarantee the collective safety of his crew. Therefore, all orders that he gives that are in favor of his personal and collective safety must be executed immediately.

  • Safety Briefing: Upon arrival on board, the crew will share general information about your stay and the correct use of the facilities. In addition, they will share important personal and collective safety information.
